LA MER  [Four Hands, Two Dancers, Two Films]

Performances from 2.00pm Turner Contemporary, The Rendezvous, Margate

2018 is the 100th anniversary of Claude Debussy’s death.  To celebrate this, Debussy’s masterwork La Mer (part of it composed when Debussy stayed in Eastbourne) is realised in a newly devised multi-media performance by dancers from Trinity Laban, choreographed by Tony Thatcher, with film by Stephen Johnstone  and Graham Ellard.

Helen Caddick’s composition Bright Planet provides the inspiration for a new dance work created by Deal Festival’s Let’s Dance project with pupils from Goodwin Academy.  Performance times to be advertised on Deal Music and Arts website with full details of activities throughout the day.
